Logistical Execution and Structural Strengthening
Remote alpine environments demand strict logistical control. For the Iwikau Ski Club lodge on Mt Ruapehu, we managed a complex site with zero road access. Our team coordinated helicopter drops to transport all scaffolding, building materials, and tools directly to the mountain site. Alongside the primary recladding phase, we completed targeted exterior structural works to strengthen specific areas of the lodge against high alpine wind and snow loads.
Premium Nuwall Reclad
The original exterior was stripped back and replaced with a premium Nuwall aluminium cladding system. We installed full-perimeter scaffolding on uneven volcanic rock to safely access all elevations of the building. The dark vertical Nuwall profile provides high durability and complete weather resistance in freezing conditions. The new exterior guarantees a secure weathertight envelope for the lodge.
